Sergeyenko: We will bring all Belarusians stuck in Ukraine back home

We will return all our people stuck in Ukraine by means of negotiations, Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeyenko said during a meeting with the military of the 19th Independent Guards Mechanized Nikolaev-Budapest Red Banner of Suvorov's Order 2nd Class Brigade at Zaslonovo, Lepel District, BelTA has learned.

"So far the President Administration has received about 50 letters regarding the developments in Ukraine. They are different: expressing support, calling to stop the war. Probably our biggest concern is the fate of our truckers, drivers who are trying to leave Ukraine. Yesterday alone, 13 drivers returned home. Of course, without vehicles. They were welcomed by families," said Igor Sergeyenko.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is supervising this work. "People had to make a detour and went to Poland first. According to our data, more than 200 people are stuck there. We are doing everything possible but the situation is tough. This is quite a sensitive issue. But I am sure: we will return all our people from there as a result of negotiations," he stressed.

According to him, every year the President Administration receives about 25,000 letters from all over the country. "Naturally, we provide feedback. All collective letters are under my control," Igor Sergeyenko said.
