Lukashenko Understanding philosophy of native culture is cornerstone of Belarusian statehood
Understanding the philosophy of the native culture is the cornerstone of the Belarusian statehood, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the national festival Kupala Night (Alexandria Gathers Friends), BelTA has learned.
The head of state noted that Alexandria has truly become a center for the revival of age-old ritual and craft traditions. "This is the only way to preserve your identity – by continuing the thousand-year history of the East Slavic peoples. Knowing this history, understanding the philosophy of our native culture is our national treasure. We must preserve it if we want to be a people, if we want to be a nation. This is the cornerstone of the Belarusian statehood," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
