Lukashenko receives Golden Letter award

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko was awarded the Golden Letter statuette at the Belarus Media Forum in Mogilev on 28 May, BelTA has learned.
Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Vladimir Pertsov noted that the results of the nationwide print media contest were to be announced at the Belarus Media Forum in Mogilev. On behalf of all the participants of the event he presented the Golden Letter statuette to the head of state, the award which is presented to the winners of the contest.
“Thank you. We will find a place for it in the Palace of Independence,” the head of state said.Aleksandr Lukashenko also shared his immediate plans with the participants of the meeting. In the near future the head of state wants to see the current state of affairs in the fields of Mogilev Oblast and Vitebsk Oblast. “I must say that recently flying over the country in a helicopter I saw a completely different Belarus. It is quite different this spring. There is still a lot of work to do, however,” he said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko urged the media workers to notice and cover on the shortcomings, but see the main thing, and not to fixate on them. After all, those who do nothing do no mistakes. “We must do everything not keep our common home. We need to preserve the country for our children, our grandchildren, young people,” the head of state emphasized.
