MINSK, 4 October – Italian business is interested in developing business and cultural relations with Belarus amid sanctions, President of Casa Italiana Company Simone Trasarti told the media on 4 October, has learned.
“The topic of sanctions and relations between our countries is the main issue of today's meeting. However, our goal and mission is to confirm the friendship between the Italian and Belarusian peoples. We believe that no one needs sanctions, as it badly affects the economy of all countries. We want to continue to maintain not only business but also cultural relations between our countries in these difficult times. As a representative of Casa Italiana I support these processes and hope that the situation will soon improve and a peaceful solution will be found,” said Simone Trasarti.
In his words, the conditions for business contacts are difficult now, but the companies of the two countries, which used to cooperate before, want to continue working together.
“The history of friendship between Belarus and Italy is long enough. After the disaster in Chernobyl, many children from the radiation zone came to our country to improve their health. The parties plan to discuss not only business issues but also tourism and recreation. We also work in this direction,” the president of Casa Italiana said.
In September 2022, member of the working group of the National Assembly of Belarus on cooperation with the Italian Parliament Igor Zavalei, the organizer of today's meeting, met with Mauro Lucentini, MP of the Italian Senate from the Northern League party on the sidelines of the cultural exchange festival between Italy and Belarus “Friends Without Borders” in Marche, Italy. The parties discussed prospects of cooperation between Italy and Belarus.
