Belarusian companies intend to participate in building single-family houses in Russia. The possibility was discussed at a session of the Belarus-Russia business council. The session was dedicated to the participation of Belarusian manufacturers and civil engineering companies in single-family housing construction projects in the Russian Federation, representatives of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry told BelTA.

The session began with welcome speeches made by the Russian co-chairman of the business council Aleksandr Yastrib, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, a member of the State Duma of Russia Vladimir Resin, Chairman of the Republican Union of Builders Anatoly Nichkasov, and Chairman of the Committee for Entrepreneurship in Civil Engineering of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yefim Basin.

Participants of the session were informed about the main trends of development of single-family housing construction in Russia, promising market development mechanisms, norms and requirements for projects in Moscow and the oblast, about the financial support measures the Development Bank offers to manufacturers, and capabilities of enterprises. Heads and representatives of over 20 major Belarusian and Russian civil engineering companies discussed cooperation opportunities and shared the experience of project implementation in Russia and other countries.

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry intend to hold the next session of the business council within the framework of the 10th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia on 27 June.
