Vitebsk will host an international investment forum on 19-20 March, which will be the first in a series of similar events in Belarus in 2015, BelTA learned from the Vitebsk Oblast Marketing Center.
The center will hold the 12th edition of the Innovations. Investments. Prospects forum on 19-20 March. Similar events will be organized in Grodno and Gomel. Deputy Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Konstantin Chernyi noted that this year’s edition of the forum will be different from the previous ones. Given the current difficult economic situation the importance of the forum increases.
The upcoming forum will be more pragmatic and goal-oriented. This time many investors will come not just to familiarize themselves with the situation in Belarus, but to hear specific proposals and establish cooperation. The main topics of the forum will include energy conservation and agricultural complex development prospects. Partaking in the forum will be representatives of 26 countries such as Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Germany, the Czech Republic, and others.
The program of the forum features conferences, roundtables, seminars, presentations, exhibitions, fairs, and tastings of products manufactured in Vitebsk Oblast.
The guests and participants of the forum will have an opportunity to hold meetings with representatives of the Vitebsk Oblast government bodies and enterprises and learn about business proposals and investment projects on site.
Besides, Vitebsk will host the final stage of the national school contest of energy conservation projects Energomarafon 2014.
After the forum, its participants will present their projects on the regional website www.newsvit.by. The online exhibition will help Vitebsk Oblast enhance its investment attractiveness, promote national brands and investment projects, and establish new business ties.
The forum has been organized by the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Vitebsk City Hall, the regional department for monitoring the rational use of energy resources, and the Vitebsk Oblast Marketing Center.
