The Aviation Department at the Transport and Communications Ministry held a board meeting to sum up the performance of the aviation industry in 2023, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry of Belarus.
"In 2023, the national air company Belavia operated regular flights to 20 airports in 10 countries. The air carrier opened two new regular routes from Minsk: to Delhi and Murmansk. In October, regular flights were launched on the route Gomel - Moscow. Five foreign carriers started operating flights to Minsk (currently 11 in total). A set of repair works was carried out to restore the first runway at Minsk National Airport. An intergovernmental agreement on air communication was signed with Oman," the Transport and Communications Ministry said.
