Kochanova shares expectations from Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum

Belarus wants to show its potential and hospitality during the Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum, Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova told reporters, BelTA has learned.

A meeting to discuss preparations for the forum was held at the Council of the Republic. The meeting was chaired by Natalya Kochanova and attended by members of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic, heads of central government agencies, state-run institutions and organizations.

“The Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum will be held for the first time. It will be co-located with the official visit to Belarus of my colleague Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The forum will be held in September. It is very important for us to cooperate with our strategic partners that have warm regards for our country. And, of course, the two countries share a glorious history. Therefore, we are preparing for this important event,” said Natalya Kochanova.

The speaker recalled that it was Uzbekistan's initiative to hold the women's business forum. “We want to show our country, demonstrate its potential and hospitality. Of course, the economic aspect is also very important for us, because we have good relations, numerous contracts, agreements with Uzbekistan. And this will give a new impetus to cooperation. Most importantly, this event should give a fresh impetus to cooperation between our women's and youth organizations. We hope that the good, friendly relations between our countries and peoples will grow thanks to such events,” the chairwoman of the Council of the Republic emphasized.

The participants of the meeting reviewed the program of the forum, preparation of six thematic sections, plenary session, exhibition, accommodation of participants and transport services and also media coverage of the event. Natalya Kochanova gave corresponding instructions to government agencies.
