In Belarus, 110 thousand citizens of the country were vaccinated against the flu in a week. Deputy Minister of Health - Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Belarus Alexander Tarasenko spoke about this in the projectBELTA"The country is speaking."
“If we talk about the activity (of Belarusian citizens in the process. - BELTA note) of vaccination, we see that taking into account the supply of vaccine to the regions, it is growing to a certain extent. Over the past week, 110 thousand of our citizens across the republic were vaccinated,” Alexander said Tarasenko.
According to him, the adherence to vaccination of citizens themselves brings a certain effect. “Of course, we need to convince, especially the risk group. This is the population over 65 years old, the population with chronic diseases, including children,” the deputy minister added.
Alexander Tarasenko clarified that there are 70 thousand children and adolescents in the country who are at risk. Minors are vaccinated only with parental consent.
Medical workers will go to schools and enterprises, depending on demand, the deputy minister noted. “Preventive work will be aimed at getting vaccinated against both the flu and the new coronavirus infection during the epidemic season,” he concluded.
