Foreign leaders send Independence Day greetings to Lukashenko, people of Belarus
Leaders of foreign states, international organizations and integration associations, political and public figures have congratulated Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Belarusian people on Independence Day and the 80th anniversary of the country's liberation from the Nazi invaders, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state and the Belarusian people received greetings from the leaders of Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Serbia, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Thailand, Türkiye, Jordan, Morocco, Algeria, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Nicaragua, Malawi, the State of Palestine, Jordan, Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Pope Francis and Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill also sent congratulations.
Congratulations also came from UN Secretary-General António Guterres, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming, Director General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Qu Dongyu, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev, and CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
