Do Vitebsk schoolchildren know what to do during a fire?
A new school year has begun, and now children will spend more time in educational institutions. Do children know how to behave in the event of a school fire?
Dmitry Abalonsky, 7 years old:
– At my school, the school bell is being used to signal. All children know that two short and one long are alarms. The main thing is not to panic in any emergency situation and listen to the teacher, because he will help you quickly evacuate.
Polina Shvedova, 10 years old:
– If there is a fire in the school, then in no case should you hide under the desks and in the closets. You don't need to grab all your things, but you need to do what the teacher says. If the fire occurred during recess, then you need to leave the school as soon as possible through the nearest emergency exit and wait for everyone in the school yard.
Alexey Shvedov, 7 years old:
– I know how to act properly during a school fire, because we have already had a lot of training. We form a column of two, listen to the teacher, move at a fast pace, but do not run, and close the classroom door after leaving. At the same time, if there is already smoke in the room, it is necessary to cover your nose and mouth with a handkerchief or cloth and move bent over.
- On September 21, all educational institutions and enterprises worked out an emergency evacuation from the building – - said Diana Gorbach, senior inspector of the public relations sector of the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. - Under the auspices of the Unified Day of Safety, rescuers repeated with the children the procedure for actions both in case of fire and in other emergencies, taught them the most important rules that will be useful in life. The goal is to protect both children and adults from accidental mistakes that lead to injuries and losses. The action was joined by all services that care for the life and health of people: representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Red Cross, Health care and other subjects of the Moscow region.
