CSTO PA Council meets in Almaty

The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council is meeting in Almaty, Kazakhstan, BelTA learned from the CSTO PA.
The meeting is chaired by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO PA and Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The Belarusian parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Igor Sergeyenko is taking part in the meeting.
The MPs are set to discuss measures to counter challenges and threats to collective security and amendments to the program of activities of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly on rapprochement and approximation of national legislation of the CSTO member states for 2021-2025.
Today, members of the CSTO PA Council laid a wreath and flowers at the Eternal Flame in the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen park in Almaty and then met with the president of Kazakhstan. 
“We met with the president of Kazakhstan. Kasym-Jomart Tokayev paid great attention to the parliamentary dimension of the organization", - Vyacheslav Volodin said as he opened the meeting.
