The State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus and Rosatom State Corporation have signed a protocol on amendments to the comprehensive program of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in nuclear non-energy and non-nuclear projects in digitalization and telecommunication technologies, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Committee on Science and Technology.
The program is supplemented with such areas as digitalization of government bodies and services, digitalization of the construction industry. Among the new items of the program are joint development and promotion of software for technological sovereignty, increasing the level of information security of government agencies and economic entities. This includes import substitution of software in industry, development of a cloud integration platform for the full life cycle of products, creation of automated workplaces and their management systems, and localization of production of hardware devices, and also the study and implementation of best practices in the production and operation of information protection means.
The next point is the development of educational programs in terms of software engineering modeling. There are plans to launch the School of Modeling at Belarusian National Technical University, to organize training for students of Belarusian higher educational institutions with the software product Repeat (model-oriented design and mathematical modeling environment). The parties are also set to study the possibility of attracting Belarusian software developers in finalizing and developing Logos and Repeat products.
The program has also been supplemented with quantum and related technologies. There are plans to work out and implement joint projects and programs to launch pilot products and services.
Other areas include improving the level of uninterrupted power supply and technological independence of critical infrastructure facilities.
A joint Belarusian-Russian interdepartmental working group for cooperation in digitalization and telecommunications technologies will be set up within three months from the date the protocol was signed.
