Ten scientific organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) will present about 80 R&D products and technologies at the 11th international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2023, the NASB press service told BelTA.
The R&D Center for Multipurpose Unmanned Systems will present a lineup of aerial vehicles. The Busel MKR drone is one of them. It is designed to provide video surveillance of areas and objects, accompany mobile objects and transmit video signal by radio to the ground-based control station and other remote consumers in real time. This model can be used as a target designator and a spotter for artillery.
MILEX 2023 visitors will be able to get familiar with an equipment simulator designed for training drone operators. The simulator is used for advanced training of drone operators and for testing the quality of training without standard drone systems. Operators can be trained using computer 3D models of specific unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), which parameters match real drones as much as possible.
UP Ferrit Company will present ferritic radar-absorbent panels PF-500-2, which have been created on the basis of a unique protection technology developed by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The radar-absorbent material and panels of a special design based on this material enable effective absorption of electromagnetic waves in a broad spectrum (10-250MHz) and offer expanded opportunities for installation and equipment of the relevant premises. It is an import-substituting product and is made only out of raw materials of UP Ferrit. The product is unparalleled in Belarus as far as its performance parameters and price are concerned. Positive user experience has already been acquired in the sphere of national security and information security.
The B.I. Stepanov Physics Institute will demonstrate diode-pumped solid-state erbium lasers emitting in a spectral range that is conditionally safe for the eyes. The R&D product is intended to be used as part of modern range finders and targeting systems, which are used in a broad range of temperatures and can be subjected to shock and vibration.
The 11th international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2023 will take place in Minsk on 17-20 May in exhibition premises of Minsk Arena. Its key goals are a broad presentation of products of the Belarusian defense industry, familiarization with new developments in the field of high technologies, demonstration of capabilities of the enterprises taking care of modernization and repair of combat equipment and providing services to the Armed Forces.
