MINSK, 28 September (BelTA) - Maria Yesman of Belarus received the Miss Congeniality title at the Miss Intercontinental 2009 international pageant. The contest took place in the Football Manege in Minsk on 27 September. The Belarusian was one of the fifteen contestants who reached the semifinals. Maria Yesman is a second-year student of the law department of Belarusian State University. She is 19. Her height is 176cm. She has been going in for sports ball dancing since she was 10. She has been numerously awarded at the contests. Maria knows English and Ukrainian. The Best National Costume title went to contestant from Peru Massiel Vidal. Yanni Penaloza from Panama got the Best Body title. Professional photographers agreed that the Miss Photogenic title should have been given to Andy Govindin from Martinique.
