Kazakhstan's representative to become CSTO secretary general on 1 January 2023

A session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) took place in Yerevan, Armenia on 23 November. Participants of the session decided to appoint Imangali Tasmagambetov CSTO secretary general starting 1 January 2023, TASS quoted the press service of the Kazakhstan president as saying.

The message reads: “Within the framework of planned rotation the heads of state decided to appoint Kazakhstan's representative Imangali Tasmagambetov CSTO secretary general for a period of three years starting on 1 January 2023.”
