Buryatia interested in all-round cooperation with Belarus

The Republic of Buryatia is interested in all-round cooperation with Belarus, Deputy Head of Government of the Republic of Buryatia Galsan Dareyev told reporters at the Brest 2022 international business forum on 18 May, BelTA has learned.

“First of all, we are interested in mutually beneficial cooperation in agriculture, agricultural technologies. Brest Oblast is Belarus' leader in the export of agricultural products; its share is about 30%. Of course, we would like to exchange best practices and study Belarus' agricultural technologies,” Galsan Dareyev said. He added that products from Brest Oblast are popular in Buryatia.

The representative of the Russian delegation added that Buryatia would like to buy agricultural machinery and set up a joint venture for the SKD assembly of tractors and other agricultural machines in the Far East.

“We are interested in all kinds of cooperation, including tourism and recreation, healthcare,” Galsan Dareyev noted. “A large delegation has arrived at the Brest forum, we take part in the work of four sections. We seek to establish business contacts with Belarusian partners,” he added.
