Belarusian, Russian ministries of foreign affairs discuss human rights

The second round of annual consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Belarus and Russia about the protection of human rights in international universal and regional organizations took place in Minsk on 30 November, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Head of the Central Office for Multilateral Diplomacy of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Irina Velichko. The Russian delegation was headed by Director of the Department for Multilateral Cooperation on Human Rights, authorized representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for human rights, democracy, and supremacy of law Grigory Lukyantsev.

Participants of the consultations exchange opinions about current trends in the operation of international organizations in the sphere of human rights and agreed to continue coordinating actions in this field.
