Belarus' CEC to share experience with Russian colleagues

A delegation of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus intends to visit the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation soon, BelTA learned from Chairman of Belarus' Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko.

As part of the visit representatives of Belarus' CEC will learn how Russia's CEC uses modern election technologies and technical solutions during elections and referendums.

Since results of the national referendum on updating Belarus' Constitution have come into force, work is now in progress to amend the Electoral Code. With this in mind Belarus' CEC is busy analyzing international legislation in the area of public elections and studying modern information technologies, which are employed during elections and referendums in other countries.
