Output of agricultural products in Belarus up 3.7% in January-April

The output of agricultural products by agricultural producers of all types (agricultural companies, private farms and individuals) in January-April 2023 amounted to Br6.3 billion, up 3.7% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.

Agricultural companies made products worth Br6.1 billion, up 4.1% year-on-year in comparable prices.

Agricultural producers of all types produced 595,700 tonnes of livestock and poultry in live weight, 2.647 million tonnes of milk. State-run agricultural enterprises produced 578,100 tonnes of live weight cattle and poultry, up 4.6% over April 2022, and 2.602 million tonnes of milk (up 4.9%).

As of 1 May 2023, agricultural enterprises had 4.2 million head of cattle, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs stood at 2.3 million.
