Lukashenko congratulates Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on winning parliamentary elections

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his well-deserved victory in the parliamentary elections in the country, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"You did well in the election race, ensured the continuity of power and conditions for the further economic and social development of India, growing authority of India in the international arena," the message reads.

The president expressed hope that the Belarusian-Indian relations will continue to develop in a friendly and mutually beneficial manner. "Minsk is committed to bringing the bilateral dialogue to the level of strategic partnership," the head of state stressed. “A roadmap for the development of cooperation in the key areas between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of India for 2024-2026 will be a good basis for our work to achieve this goal. I hope that the document will be signed in the near future." 

The Belarusian leader reaffirmed the commitment to continuing fruitful joint work in international organizations. He also renewed the invitation to the Indian prime minister to visit Belarus at a time convenient for him. Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Narendra Modi successes in implementing all state tasks, good health, happiness and prosperity.
