Vitebsk to present five projects at Belarus Investment Forum
VITEBSK, 6 November (BelTA) - Vitebsk Oblast will present five investment projects at Belarus Investment Forum, BelTA learnt from First Deputy Head of the Economy Committee of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Natalia Sultanovich. These include a wind farm project in Liozno District, the construction of the Orsha hydro power plant (by the Vitebsk electricity unitary enterprise Vitebskenergo). Vityas will present the project to create high-tech manufactures of television, medical and other types of technology. OAO Moloko (Vitebsk) initiates the project to build a plant to produce demineralized whey dry with the capacity of 500 tonnes per day. OAO BelVitunifarm will offer the project to create a single complex for the production of biological and pharmaceutical products. The total investment of the projects is estimated at about $300 million. Belarus Investment Forum will be held in Minsk on 15-16 November for representatives of foreign business, financial institutions. They will be made familiar with complete and reliable information about the country’s investment potential, including the opportunities opening up by the formation of the 170 million consumer market of the Single Economic Space. Major investment projects will be offered for consideration. Apart from presenting opportunities of Belarus the forum will aim to attentively study and take into account wishes of potential investors. With this in mind roundtable sessions with independent moderators selected from international experts will be used as the main form of work. Startup Day and meetings of the Advisory Foreign Investments Board will make part of the investment forum as well.БЕЛТА
