Vitebsk to host 3rd Kettlebell Lifting Olympiad
The 3rd Kettlebell Lifting Olympiad will take place at the Vitebsk central sports complex on 14-17 September, BelTA learned from Chairman of the Kettlebell Lifting and Juggling Federation Vladimir Katashuk.
Kettlebell lifting triathlon is a young sport which means that athletes lift kettlebells with different weights in regular and extreme conditions within different periods of time. It is expected that the participants of the competition will set many records. Partaking in it will be about 200 athletes from 20-25 countries, including Belarus' many-time world kettlebell lifting champion and Guinness World Record holder Vyacheslav Khoroneko. There will be individual and group attempts to set new records.
President of the International Kettlebell Lifting Federation and one of the founders of this sport Anatoly Yezhov, 70, will be the guest of honor at the tournament in Vitebsk.
Apart from that, the program of the competition will include the Governor's Cup (Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev has already conformed his participation) and the Vitebsk Oblast Open Kettlebell Lifting Championship.
