Vitebsk Oblast’s election commissions accredit 4,333 local observers

VITEBSK, 14 December (BelTA) – The Vitebsk Oblast commissions for Belarus’ presidential election in Vitebsk have accredited 4,333 local observers, chairman of the oblast election commission Vyacheslav Kryukovsky told BelTA. Most of observers (4,3 thousand) will work in precinct commissions. 884 of the observers are representative of the labor collectives, 526 persons nominated themselves by submitting an application, members of political parties received 119 seats. CIS and OSCE observers also monitor the election campaign. Vyacheslav Kryukovsky said that local observers have started working at polling stations. They have no complaints about the work of territorial and precinct commissions so far. All in all, there are 28 territorial election commissions in Vitebsk Oblast, including one oblast commission, 21 district ones three city election commissions and three district commissions in the city of Vitebsk. In addition, there are 911 precinct commissions.
