Vitebsk Oblast to implement around 200 projects with Russian investors
VITEBSK, 6 May (BelTA) – There are plans to implement around 200 projects together with Russian investors in Vitebsk Oblast in the next two years, Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets told media on 6 May. Cooperation with the Russian Federation is one of the strategic avenues of foreign trade and investment activity, said Alexander Kosinets. Russian investors intend to build a customs and logistics terminal at the border of the Customs Union with Latvia in Verkhnedvinsk District near the village of Grigorovshchina. Preliminary estimates put the required amount of investments at $10-12 million. Another project envisages starting up the production of special vehicles – ambulances, vehicles for law enforcement agencies, minibuses by the Belarusian-Russian joint venture Grandiscar, a resident company of the free economic zone Vitebsk. The project provides for turning out up to 5,000 vehicles per annum. The Belarusian and Russian founders of the company plan to invest around $15 million in the project within five years. Russian partners are also interested in investment projects for extracting and bottling mineral water.БЕЛТА
