Vitebsk-Milan telebridge to be held during surgeons’ congress in Vitebsk
VITEBSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Specialists from ten countries will take part in the 14th Congress of Belarusian Association of Surgeons that will open at the Vitebsk State Medical University on 11 November, BelTA learnt from Pro-Rector for Science and Research of the university Sergei Sushkov. The two-day forum will bring together over 350 delegates. They will discuss the state and prospects of surgical service in Belarus. Besides Belarusian specialists, the forum will also be attended by surgeons from Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. The program of the conference features plenary and breakout sessions and a telebridge Vitebsk-Milan. Taking part in the teleconference will be specialists of the Italian Academy of Endoscopic Surgery. The participants of the telebridge will discuss low invasive methods in surgery, the training of Belarusian surgeons and studying the best practices of Italian surgeons, Sergei Sushkov said. The participants of the forum will discuss high-tech medical care, including the development of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, as well as transplant surgery of organs and tissues and modern trends of reconstructive surgery of thoracic and abdominal organs. Top on the agenda will be pediatric surgery and emergency surgery. A resolution will be adopted following a debate. The forum is organized by the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus, Vitebsk State Medical University, Belarusian Association of Surgeons, Belarusian Society for Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Belarusian Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.БЕЛТА
