Vitebsk hosts Chinese photo exhibition
VITEBSK, 2 April (BelTA) – A Chinese photo exhibition will open at the Vitebsk regional local lore museum on 2 April to mark the 20th anniversary of Belarus-China diplomatic relations, BelTA learnt from the museum. The exhibition will feature approximately 30 large-size works which reflect the development of all-round relations between Belarus and China in previous years. The photos describe important moments in the life of the two countries. The fist photo was made in Beijing during the signing of an agreement on establishing diplomatic relations between Belarus and China on 20 January 1992. The exhibition will also include the photos made during the official diplomatic visits, exhibition projects, concerts, educational programs, important sports and other events which contributed to Belarus-China relations. The exhibition is organized by the Embassy of China in Belarus. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei is expected to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition during a three-days working visit to Vitebsk Oblast. The program of the visit also includes meetings with representatives of local authorities of Vitebsk and Polotsk and visits to the Vitebsk State University, enterprises-residents of the Vitebsk FEZ and Polotsk Dairy Plant.БЕЛТА
