Vitebsk fruit and vegetable cannery increases exports in January-May
MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – In January-May the Vitebsk fruit and vegetable cannery exported products worth $229,000, or 3.5 times up from the same period a year earlier, BelTA learnt from the director of the company Rostislav Goshko. According to the preliminary estimates, the H1 export will exceed $320,000. The company exports canned baby food and semi-finished carrot puree in aseptic packaging. The main sale market is the Russian Federation (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kostroma and Tver). An agreement has been reached recently to launch deliveries to the Kaliningrad oblast. Last year the company made trial deliveries to Kazakhstan. This year the deliveries to Kazakhstan will be made on a regular basis. A possibility of supplying canned baby food to Kyrgyzstan is under consideration. Trial consignments have been supplied to Ukraine. Now the company is working on acquiring state hygiene registration in Ukraine. The company is also looking to start exports to Armenia and Azerbaijan. In January-May this year the company reported the output of 1.5 million cans of baby foods, which is almost 1.7 times as much as in the same period of last year. The output is projected to increase by 40% this year. The production of canned baby food has become the main line of business of the company. The capacity is 7 million cans per year. The company has acquired a HACCP certificate. All recipes of baby food are developed by the science and research center for food of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Today the offering range includes 50 descriptions. The company uses only organic ingredients in the manufacture of baby food. The Vitebsk fruit and vegetable cannery was founded in 1993. In 2008 it was reorganized into a joint stock company. The company manufactures canned fruit, berry and vegetable baby food and purees.БЕЛТА
