Vitebsk FEZ registers new resident company

VITEBSK, 6 July (BelTA) – Polymerconstruction Company has been registered as a Vitebsk FEZ resident company with a project to ramp up the production of innovative water treatment facilities, BelTA learned from the Investment Department of the Vitebsk FEZ Administration. The company will raise about ?1.9 million in investment to expand the production base, buy new equipment and improve the production process. Within five years the enterprise is eager to boost the industrial output 1.5 times and increase its export capacity 2.6 times. Polymerconstruction specializes on new water treatment technologies and their application in industrial enterprises and residential areas. The company also manufactures local water treatment facilities, pumping stations, deferrization stations, etc. The plant applies modern water treatment technologies. The company operates a scientific and technical center, a planning and design office, a plant to produce water treatment equipment, and other facilities. In 2011 the company is implementing contracts to deliver deferrization stations to residential areas of Kaliningrad, Smolensk and Moscow oblasts. Polymerconstruction also takes part in the development of more than ten projects to revamp water treatment facilities in other regions of Russia. The Vitebsk Free Economic Zone was founded in August 1999. Today the FEZ implements 41 investment projects. Over 60% of the Vitebsk FEZ resident companies are joint and foreign enterprises established with the participation of investors from 13 countries, including Germany, Poland, the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Czech Republic, Russia, the Netherlands and Israel. The resident companies are engaged in the fuel, chemical, light industries, engineering, food production and research. The FEZ includes seven sectors with the total area of more than 1,200 hectares.
