Vitebsk distillery exports trial first consignment to Kazakhstan
VITEBSK, 26 April (BelTA) - Vitebsk Alcoholic Beverages Factory Pridvinie exported 0,700 decaliters of vodkas and nastoykas to the tune of ?18,800 to Kazakhstan, BelTA learnt from the company. “The market is very promising. Therefore we are negotiating further deliveries,” the company’s specialists said, In April this year the company manufactured the first consignment of mineral water from its own well which is more than 396 meters deep. There are plans to make water of two brands which will differ in the degree of mineralization. The water will go on sale in May. The company plans to bottle 40,000 decaliters of water a year. In January-March the company’s industrial output increased by 11% over the same period 2009 to a total of Br22.3 billion. The output of consumer goods was up 16.5% compared to the same months a year ago to a total of Br15.7 billion. The company manufactured 375,000 decaliters of vodkas and alcoholic beverages (up 4.5% over the same period 2009), 327,000 decaliters of rectified spirit, 7,000 decaliters of soft drinks. Capital investments amounted to Br775 million. The company exported its products to Lithuania, Germany, Armenia, Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. In Q1 exports surged 13.2 times from the same period 2009 in terms of the volume and 7.8 times in monetary terms. Vitebsk Alcoholic Beverages Factory was founded in 1898.
