Vitebsk clothing makers intend to open chain stores in Daugavpils
DAUGAVPILS, April 25 (BelTA) – During business forum “Days of Vitebsk Oblast in Latgalia”, the Vitebsk-based Znamya Industrializatsii Company has been proposed to open its chain store in the Latvian town of Daugavpils, BelTA learnt from deputy director general of the company Stanislav Svirkovsky. The Vitebsk company produces coats and suits for men and women. At the Daugavpils exhibition, Znamya Industrializatsii presented Autumn-Winter 2009-2010 collection. The proposal to open the chain store of the Vitebsk company was put forward by the Daugavpils Town Administration and a group of the local businessmen. At present, the leadership of the Belarusian company is considering the proposal of its Latvian partners. One more Belarusian company – the Orsha-based Svitanak – has received a business proposal as well. The Svitanak-produced outerwear for kids was in popular demand at the exhibition in Daugavpils. The company intends to consider a proposal to set up a chain store in Latvia as well. Business forum “Days of Vitebsk Oblast in Latgalia” will be running through April 25. Taking part in the forum were around 70 companies of the Vitebsk oblast including such industrial giants as Naftan and Vityas and also small enterprises of the light and food industry. Five regions of Latvia and five towns of the Vitebsk oblast concluded agreements on cooperation. During the Days, representatives of the Vitebsk oblast (around 300 amateurs and professional singers and dancers) gave a concert in the Daugavpils Centre of Culture.БЕЛТА
