Vitebsk bioplant increases profits 9 times

VITEBSK, 9 June (BelTA) – In January-May 2010, the Vitebsk bioplant’s profits made up Br1.5 billion, or up 9 times as against the same period last year, BelTA learned from the plant. The plant has increased profits owing to the innovation project which is being implemented according to the state program on development of veterinary preparations production facilities. In line with the project, the plant will construct a manufacturing building (18.7 thousand square meters), purchase of up-to-date technological equipment that meets GMP quality system. In 2005-2010, the state investments in the projects made up Br191.1 billion. At present, the bioplant is launching the production of dosage bands, bacterial vaccines, infusion solutions and viral vaccines. The bioplant was founded in 1930. It specializes in manufacturing of veterinarian medical- diagnostic products for cattle breeding. In January-May 2010, the plant produced products at the amount of Br6 billion, or up 26% as against the same period last year. The plant exports products to Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kazakhstan. On 30 June, Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky is expected to visit the plant.
