Utilities companies from Ulyanovsk adopt experience of Lepel District
VITEBSK, 25 January (BelTA) – Public utilities of Ulyanovsk Oblast (Russian Federation) were on a visit in Lepel District to study the experience of housing and utilities companies, BelTA learnt from Nikolai Pshonka, head of the department of housing and utilities of the Lepel District Executive Committee. Russian colleagues were interested in the operation of heating system for multi-family houses, the boiler houses fired by local fuels, management of apartment blocks, tariffs for the services, their cost. The Russian guests showed a big interest in the practices of collection and destruction of solid domestic waste, landscaping and major maintenance of multi-family houses. According to them, utility services provided by state organizations, not by private firms as it is the case in the Russian Federation, guarantee a high quality of services and help avoid a groundless growth of tariff rates. The Russian representatives got interested in the system of separate collection of solid household waste in the village of Borovukha.БЕЛТА
