Union State MPs to attend Slavonic Bazaar events
MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – Parliamentarians of the Union State will attend the events of the 18th international arts festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA learnt from the press office of the Belarus-Russia Union State Parliamentary Assembly. The Union State has a participatory interest in the financing and organization of the Slavonic Bazaar. The Parliamentary Assembly’s representatives are the members of the organizing committee of the festival. As in previous years, the events dedicated to the Union State will be held in the context of the festival. The Executive Secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union, Sergei Strelchenko, and the State Secretary of the Union State, Pavel Borodin, and other Union State parliamentarians will meet with veterans of the Great Patriotic War and lay flowers at the Eternal Fire on 11 July. The delegation is scheduled to meet with representatives of the youth movement “We are the Union State” on the same day. Teenagers and children will take part in the quiz on the history of the Union State and the contest for children’s drawing on asphalt will take place. The youth will also meet with Nikolai Cherginets, a writer and the nominee for the Union State Literature and Arts Prize 2009-2010. The PA delegation will take part in the award ceremony of the Vitebsk-2009 international song contest on 13 July.БЕЛТА
