There are four Adolescent Friendly Centers in the Vitebsk region

Advisory groups (gynecologists, pediatricians, psychologists, urologists) have been set up in the Adolescent Friendly Centers to provide assistance to adolescents in difficult life situations. Volunteers are involved for peer-to-peer counseling.

Centers  FREE OF CHARGE ANONYMOUS CONFIDENTIAL  (you can apply anonymously, without naming passport data, place of study) provide assistance to adolescents and youth in maintaining and strengthening reproductive, psychological and somatic health.

The purpose of creating the center is to raise awareness and motivation for a healthy lifestyle, provide conditions for the socialization of adolescents and, ultimately, improve the reproductive, psychological, and somatic health of young people.

The activities of the Center are aimed at:

  • increasing the level of knowledge of adolescents and young people about a healthy lifestyle, reproductive health, STI/HIV incidence;
  • obtaining and strengthening the skills of a healthy lifestyle, proper social, reproductive behavior;
  • formation of motivation to use the acquired knowledge and skills in their own behavior.

Psychologists provide counseling in the following areas:

  • parent-child relations (issues of raising children, communication with parents, conflict resolution, issues of mutual understanding between children and parents)
  • communication problems (shyness, conflict, fear of peers, teachers, fear of public speaking)
  • emotional problems (anxiety, school fears, aggressiveness, lack of empathy)
  • crisis conditions (significant loss, unhappy love, loneliness, violence, physical trauma, etc.)
