THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE AMBULANCE SERVICE WAS CELEBRATED IN VITEBSK

Passed the way from a modest first aid station at the hospital. Kalinin, where only one doctor was on duty, who went to the sick in a cab, to today's most powerful inter-district emergency medical center "Vitebsk" with 1,026 employees, which serves more than 693 thousand people of the Vitebsk region.

The material and staffing support of the service is centralized, which generally improves the quality and availability of assistance to the population, the ability to respond to emergencies.

Now in the Vitebsk Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care (VOTsSMP), 66 brigades work around the clock (paramedical, pediatric, intensive care, as well as psychiatric and resuscitation). The vehicle fleet of the rapid response service, as part of a phased re-equipment with vehicles and special equipment, is constantly being updated and currently consists of 80 vehicles. After all, modern equipment and reliable, fast transport are the basis for the successful work of ambulance doctors.

There is a special requirement for the professionalism of doctors, paramedics and drivers who work on an ambulance, because they always work at the forefront of healthcare , where the most difficult and deadly situations develop, and decisions must be made super quickly, act decisively and competently.

In 2021, ambulance crews responded to 254,564 calls.
