Ten countries to attend medical conference in Vitebsk
VITEBSK, 2 November (BelTA) – The 5th international conference Medical Education of the 21st Century will take place in the Vitebsk State Medical University on 3-4 November, BelTA learned from representatives of the university. Attending the event will be more than 100 scientists and specialists from ten countries, namely Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia and Belarus. A delegation of the Argentina University Maimonides, which has signed a cooperation agreement with the Vitebsk State University in summer 2009, will take part in the scientific forum in Vitebsk for the first time. The conference will discuss a wide range of issues such as up-to-date problems and development prospects of the medical and pharmaceutical education. Leading specialists will present reports on innovation activities in medical education, education quality management, humanization and humanitarizaiton of the education. The conference will also focus on self-guided work of students in the context of innovation technologies, important problems of pre and post-graduate education of doctors and pharmacists, military medicine education and emergency medicine. The conference is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Vitebsk State Medical University and the 50th anniversary of the pharmaceutical department of the university. An official meeting of the board of the university with participation of numerous foreign delegations will be held on 3 November. The forum is organized by the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus and the Vitebsk State Medical University.БЕЛТА
