Slavonic Bazaar features Day of Belarusian Culture 9 July
VITEBSK, 11 July (BelTA) – The Day of Belarusian Culture took place at the Slavonic Bazaar Arts Festival on 9 July, BelTA has learned. Dukhovskoy Kruglik Exhibition Hall featured an exhibition “Through History to the Present Day.” The Cinema House presented the Belarusian documentary “Bazaar Age.” The Vitebsk Concert Hall hosted exhibitions of contemporary art of Belarus, Latvia, Russia, and Ukraine. The main event of the Day of Belarusian Culture was a gala performance of Belarusians living abroad which took place in the Vitebsk Concert Hall. Partaking in the concert were the Belarusian Roots from Armenia and the Nadzeya from Kazakhstan, the Svitanak dance company from Lithuania, Sergei Vorsanov and Margarita Ivanush from Moldova. Belarusian singers Iskui Abalyan, Alesya, Inna Afanasyeva, Larisa Gribaleva, Iriva Dorofeyeva, Yakov Naumenko, Alexander Solodukha and others also gave a bright performance. The Day of Belarusian Culture also included the second session of the Consultative Council for the Affairs of Belarusians Abroad under the Culture Ministry. The meeting focused on the cultural, educational, information, tourism cooperation and the implementation of various projects.БЕЛТА
