Tickets for concerts of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will be available on sale on 22 February, Director General of the Vitebsk culture center and the festival Gleb Lapitsky said at a press conference on 12 February, BelTA has learned.
Gleb Lapitsky also revealed first line-up names. These are Kipelov rock band, Aleksandr Panayotov, Stas Mikhaylov, Valery Leontiev, Nadezhda Kadysheva, and the Russian folk group Zolotoye Koltso. The full line-up will be announced later.
Another major project will take place on the Day of the Union State of Belarus and Russia and will be dedicated to the anniversary of the music band Pesnyary and Vladimir Mulyavin. According to Gleb Lapitsky, this artist impersonated the friendship between the two countries. Being Russian, he made a great contribution to Belarusian culture. "This event will gather a lot of friends of the band," he added.
Gleb Lapitsky also noted that ticket prices will stay the same. "The ticket prices will not go up. This is a matter of principle for us. Tickets for some events like the opening ceremony will even become cheaper because we want to maintain spectators' interest and attract crowds. The directorate of the festival conducts a lot of negotiations and takes measures to reduce the event expenses," the director general of the festival noted.
In 2019, the festival will be held on 8-17 July. An opening ceremony and a gala concert will take place in the Summer Amphitheater on 11 July, and a closing ceremony on 15 July. Additional events will be scheduled for 8-10 and 16-17 July. The major events of the festival will be the 28th International Song Contest Vitebsk 2019 and the 17th International Children's Song Contest Vitebsk 2019.
