Regional trade unions from Belarus, Russia sign cooperation agreement
The trade unions of Vitebsk Oblast of Belarus, Pskov Oblast and Smolensk Oblast of Russia have signed a cooperation agreement for 2019-2020, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Vitebsk Oblast branch of the Federation of Trade Unions.
The document aims at expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the trade union organizations of the border regions.
The parties will cooperate in the protection of labor rights, social and economic interests of workers. The cooperation agreement will help strengthen trade union organizations using the principles of mutual support, respect and solidarity. The parties will share expertise and knowledge, develop joint proposals on social, economic and legal matters and forward them to the executive authorities of respective regions and states as well as to the Belarus-Russia Union State. They will also hold joint cultural and sports events, and recuperation programs.
