Plans to spend over Br150m on Belarusian Industry Ministry innovative development projects in 2023


In 2023 over Br150 million is supposed to be spent on the projects stipulated by the government program on innovation-driven development and assigned to the Industry Ministry, Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik told BelTA in an interview.

Aleksandr Rogozhnik said: “As many as 21 innovative projects assigned to the Industry Ministry are included in the government program on innovation-driven development. There are plans to spend over Br150 million on realizing projects of the government program in 2023 at the expense of all the available sources of funding.”

In his words, the largest projects include the project to reconstruct MAZ's bus factory. It provides for building a new manufacturing wing and raising the output capacity to 3,000 units per annum. “The production of innovative passenger vehicles based on MAZ's unified platform is supposed to begin. Innovative for the Belarusian market. As much as Br100 million from the innovation fund of the Minsk City Executive Committee will be spent on realizing the project in 2023. Design documentation is being developed and construction and installation work is being done as part of the project now,” the industry minister said.

Another significant project of the government program is the creation of a modern facility in OAO Gomselmash to manufacture mechanical transmission components in order to make a new generation of agricultural machines for harvesting cereals and forage. The necessary equipment is being acquired now.
