Over 178,000 visa-waiver travelers visit Belarus since year-start
Belarus has hosted over 178,285 arrivals from the neighboring EU countries since 1 January 2023, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
Since the start of the year, Belarus has welcomed 117,724 citizens of Lithuania, 34,473 citizens and 10,336 non-citizens of Latvia, and 15,752 Polish citizens. Since the launch of the visa-waiver program, 563,000 citizens of the neighboring EU states took advantage of the program to visit Belarus, including 365,987 citizens of Lithuania, 37,215 non-citizens and 122,607 citizens of Latvia, and 37,462 Polish citizens.
From 22 to 29 May, Belarus hosted 8,940 visa-waiver visitors from the neighboring EU countries. Most of them (5,649) came from Lithuania.
