Over 15,000 pre-war artillery shells found in Vitebsk Oblast
Over 15,000 artillery shells have been found in Dokshitsy District, Vitebsk Oblast, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
According to the source, as many as 15,200 artillery shells were found by a bomb clearance team of the Anti-Mine Center of the Armed Forces of Belarus. In April 2021 the sappers started a blanket sweep of the area where an ammunition depot was located before World War Two. The artillery shells they have found will be destroyed.
