New FEZ Vitebsk resident company to make fuel-powered tools in Polotsk
OOO Lesdrevkonsalt has been registered as a resident company of the free economic zone (FEZ) Vitebsk this year. The new resident company intends to start manufacturing tools powered by gasoline, the FEZ Vitebsk administration told BelTA.
The company intends to start import-substituting production of gasoline-powered chainsaws, grass trimmers, bush cutters, hedge trimmers for forestry enterprises at a site in Polotsk. According to the company's CEO Vladimir Ugorenko, the project will be implemented with assistance of Chinese partners. Pilot samples of the products are supposed to be made in H1 2023. The investors intend to start making components in Polotsk later on and gradually increase the degree of localization of gasoline-powered tools production. The volume of investments will exceed Br1.5 million. There are plans to create about ten additional jobs in the course of the project's implementation. Half of the output is supposed to be sold on markets of the Eurasian Economic Union countries.
The free economic zone (FEZ) Vitebsk is home to 57 organizations that implement projects involving investors from 14 countries.
FEZ Vitebsk comprises 17 sectors located in Vitebsk District, Orsha District, Polotsk District, Postavy District, Miory District, and Dokshitsy District as well as in the city of Vitebsk. Their total area is 2,415ha.
