Lukashenko updated on development of agriculture, Orsha District
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko met with Head of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate Viktor Sheiman to receive his report on 26 June, BelTA has learned.
The meeting focused on the development of agribusiness within the framework of the Property Management Directorate, establishment of new production facilities, the situation at a number of enterprises in Orsha District. By the way, Viktor Sheiman had been instructed to analyze the state of affairs at these enterprises.
The head of state was informed about the reformation of Agrokombinat Machulishchi Holding Company. There is a task to develop a closed cycle comprising production, processing and sales of products in the organizations of the holding company.
Part of the assets of the agricultural holding company in Brest Oblast and Vitebsk Oblast was transferred to the municipal ownership. The rest of enterprises will be modernized, including taking into account the need to step up efforts to promote finished products in various countries and regions of the world, launch new production lines, in particular, the production of turkey meat.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the operation of OOO Belagrofert. Located in Grodno Oblast, this enterprise specializes in the manufacture of new kinds of fertilizers. The first production line with the capacity of 120,000 tonnes per year has been already launched. The second line with the same capacity will be launched in 2017-2018. Plans have been made to launch the third line for the production of microbiological and compound organic and mineral fertilizers in 2019-2020. As a result, new well paid jobs will be created.
Viktor Sheiman also informed the president about inspections at Orsha District enterprises. These include an instrument-making plant, a plant producing automatic control devices, an aviation repair plant. Active work in relation to these enterprises jointly with the Council of Ministers and local authorities is underway, prospects have been determined. The main objective is to produce high-quality in-demand products in the country and abroad.
The president was briefed on the operation of the aviation repair plant, existing problems, the prospects for penetrating new markets. Alexander Lukashenko gave an instruction to analyze the results of fulfilling investment obligations by the owners of the enterprise and the implementation of the president's resolutions concerning the plant which were signed in 2011 and 2016.
