Lukashenko: National Song and Poetry Festival will promote patriotic education
MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants and guests of the 14th National Song and Poetry Festival in Molodechno, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.
“This prestigious cultural forum has an honorable mission to develop and promote Belarusian literature and music,” the message of greetings reads. Molodechno has brought together the most famous singers united by the love for the native language and songs. An unforgettable event of the forum, the contest of young singers, brought fame to many Belarusian singers.
Alexander Lukashenko remarked that the festival continues good traditions and expands horizons. It features the best samples of the national music heritage and discovers new modern composers, poets and singers. Its diverse program dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders and the 45th anniversary of the legendary band Pesnyary will make a solid contribution to the patriotic education of people and the strengthening of the spiritual unity of the nation.
