LLK-Naftan to increase output of new products 2.6 times in 2010

MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – The Novopolotsk-based LLK-Naftan company has plans to increase the output of new products up to 2,640 tonnes or 2.6 times compared to 2009, BelTA learnt from deputy director of the company Mikhail Babushkin. LLK-Naftan has made a scientific breakthrough in the domestic production of additives. The specialists of the company developed conceptually new additive components that became the basis for producing additive packages for existing and promising motor oils. The company uses its own components to produce additive packages that are unmatched in the post-Soviet space. Mikhail Babushkin explained that additives are essential for the efficient operation of a motor. An additive package can comprise up to 20% of typical multi-grade motor oil. In May 2010, the company launched the production and marketing of new additive packages РА-2503-2 for SG/CD general motor oils. The enterprise intends to sell up to 1.5 tonnes of these additive packages in 2010. In 2010, LLK-Naftan has plans to increase production by 43% over 2009 and produce 29,100 tonnes of products. The exports will increase by 53%. At present 85% of the company’s products is supplied to Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia and Tatarstan. LLK-Naftan was set up on 28 April 2006 following the instruction of the Belarusian President. The company’s founders are OAO Naftan (Belarus), and LLK International B.V. (the Netherlands, the affiliate of Lukoil, Russia). The company’s core business is production of lubricant additives and lubricant additive packages. The company is the primary supplier of Naftan and Lukoil. LLK-Naftan possesses the largest capacities to produce lubricant oil in the CIS.
