Lithuania ends cooperation with Belarus on border traffic
Lithuania is ending cooperation with Belarus to ensure uninterrupted flow of transport across the border, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
The Lithuanian side informed that the State Border Guard Service at the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania us unilaterally terminating cooperation with customs and border services of Belarus to ensure the uninterrupted flow of transport across the border and increase the capacity of road checkpoints.
The notification does not specify the reasons for the termination of the cooperation.
The cooperation was carried out on the basis of the document signed by the parties on 4 November 2019.
