Kochanova visits Dokshitsy bakery
During her visit to Dokshitsy District, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus' National Assembly Natalya Kochanova visited the local bakery, BelTA has learned.
The company is a subsidiary of the Vitebskhlebprom bakery association. The plant was built in 1974 on the basis of an old bakery. A bakery shop, a confectionery shop and an administrative building were erected in 1993. In 2005 and 2006, the company participated in the Bread and Confectionery competitions and won bronze medals for tinned bread. The bakery, a modern high-tech enterprise, keeps a focus on preserving the bakery traditions.
"We manufacture 6.5-7 tonnes of products per day. The lineup includes more than 35 types of bakery products. The products are traditional and in demand. Some 50% of them is sold in Dokshitsy District, 30% - in Minsk, the rest - in other districts. We also execute individual orders from consumers," said Aleksei Baykov, director of the subsidiary.
Raw materials are supplied without interruption. The company employs 100 people who work in three shifts. The company is gearing up to launch the production of new carrot bread in May.
Natalya Kochanova noted the importance of maintaining the steady operation of food enterprises. In the context of sanctions against Belarus, such enterprises guarantee the well-being of regions and the country as a whole.
