Hanoi police studying Belarusian experience in Vitebsk
VITEBSK, 18 September (BelTA) - Policemen from Hanoi are studying the experience of their Belarusian colleagues in Vitebsk, Chief of the Vitebsk Oblast Police Department Igor Yevseyev told media on 18 September, BelTA has learnt.
According to him, a police delegation from the Vietnamese capital has arrived in Vitebsk Oblast on a two-day visit. They have already got familiar with the operation of the Minsk City Police Department and visited places of military glory and museums in Lepel District and Dokshitsy District. On 18 September the guests had a working meeting with top officials from the Vitebsk Oblast Police Department and shared experience in combating drug trafficking and crimes, including the recurrent ones. They also touched upon employment in the law enforcement bodies, social assistance, prevention of drunkenness and other professional matters.
The deputy chief of the Hanoi City Police Department pointed out his interest in getting familiar with how the Belarusian Interior Ministry organizes its work in all areas. He said that the sides had had a productive meeting which would definitely benefit everyone and would foster tighter bilateral cooperation in all areas.
While in Vitebsk the Vietnamese delegation is expected to get familiar with the organization and hardware used by on-duty units of the Vitebsk Oblast Police Department and the Department for Internal Affairs in Transport. They will also visit a dog breeding facility of the oblast office of the Interior Ministry’s Guard Department and make a tour of Vitebsk.
